Celebration · 1 October 2026

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬

Today Nigeria marks 66 years of independence. On 1 October 1960 the green-white-green was raised for the first time, and today we raise it again — here in Valence, far from home but never apart from it.

To every Nigerian in the Drôme, and to the French friends and neighbours who have welcomed us: thank you. Our association exists so that no one here has to face life alone — in good times, in hard times, and on proud days like this one.

Join us this Sunday, 4 October, for our general meeting, where members will elect the association’s first Executive Committee. One love, keep us together.
